As a Carly Fiorina supporter, I am supposed to attack Donald Trump for his attack on her looks
As a Carly Fiorina supporter, I am supposed to attack Donald Trump for his attack on her looks. Trump said, "Look at that face! Would anyone vote for that? Can you imagine that, the face of our next president."
His statement is rude and crude. I think Carly should ignore it and let him stew in his own juices. Certainly this flare-up will dominate the political news cycle for a few minutes, hours, maybe even days. That should help raise her profile. We shall see.
Carly needs to ignore it. She should respond to questions by looking as though she wants to disarm the issue. She can do so in three words: "I've heard worse."
That would send several signals. 1. Maturity. 2. Thick skin. 3. Trump is incompetent at insults.
This could be her moment. Thatcher wasn't a looker. And Golda Meir, oy veh. But my gosh, we certainly would have a crueler, meaner and less safe world without them.
\I am sure the remark hurt. She must buck up. Trump just gave Carly's campaign a boost. She must own it. If not, why run for president?
