Trump's campaign is bleeding

Billionaire Donald Trump's top campaign advisor (and friend for 35 years) Roger Stone or Stone quit, as Trump's misogynist attack on Megyn Kelly continues to reverberate.

Fox News moderators in the debate were tough on the candidates. On CNN, Trump said of Kelly: "You could see there was blood coming out of her eyes,"

That statement has consequences.

From Sunshine State News:
Drama is dogging Donald Trump’s campaign after news broke Saturday that one of the Republican presidential hopeful's top advisers and closest friends had resigned from Trump’s staff.
Political consultant Roger Stone, who not only was serving as Trump’s top adviser but also has been his friend for 35 years, said Saturday afternoon he was calling it quits.
"I was proud to have played a role in the launch of your presidential campaign," read Stone's email. "Your message of ‘Make America Great Again’ harkened back to the Reagan era. Restoring national pride and bringing jobs back to America -- your initial and still underlying message -- is a solid conservative message. In fact, it catapulted you instantly into a commanding lead in the race."
The praise could only last so long before Stone admitted why he was abandoning Trumpworld.
Stone wrote: "Unfortunately, the current controversies involving personalities and provocative media fights have reached such a high volume that it has distracted attention from your platform and overwhelmed your core message. With this current direction of the candidacy, I no longer can remain involved in your campaign.”
Stone told Sunshine State News Trump’s campaign was “imploding.”
Trump dared to talk about ending illegal immigration, which was great.

But he is daft. Rich and daft. Voting for him is irresponsible.

  1. Finding much the same sort of backers of Trump, as I did for RonPaul. Totally ignorant of many issues in the world, and latching on to one thing. I knew fools who support a Canadian style Single Payer health system who were Ronulans ... yeah. Trump bleated about illegals, fine, great, what else does he stand for? those backing him tend not to know. Do the know if he is a gun grabber? An abortion supporter? Crony Capitalist who favors bailouts? They can't answer any of that, but dammit, he's got their support. Do I think he'd be better'n 0bama is and Hillary, Sanders or Biden would be? ... likely, he would be. But there is not much to being better than those four and he is way over there with them on way too much stuff. And he can't really claim to be all that great a businessman ... how many times has he gone bankrupt now? He might be good at starting stuff, but his long term running seems more than a bit lacking.

    1. trumps lead in the Polls falls to 32% from a meager 25% 5 days after the debates.

  2. We already tried electing a vicious ego addict president once before, in 2008. Didn't work out all that well, did it?

  3. And for another point-of-view:

  4. When you're rich you're eccentric, not daft. :)

Looks like that quote is missing something. It actually went "You could see there was blood coming out of her eyes, or somewhere." My emphasis.

  5. I for one will never waste my time with Megyan Kelly again. The whole faux debate was done to attack Trump. Do I like the man? NO! would I take him over the darling of the GOPe Jeb? Yes! The whole campaign is being manipulated to make Jeb the nominee. He is worse than McInsane, worse than Mittens, and almost a mirror to Hillary on too many issues that matter.
My choice would be Cruz. If he gets the nomination, I will back him, but if it is Jeb, I will vote third party or sit home rather then support a pro amnesty, pro Obozo care, RINO.Most of the others are there to water down groups within the GOP like the TEAparty, or Christians. Others like Rubio are there to ensure that key states like Florida remain under establishment control and do not go to some one like Cruz.
Trump is rough as heck around the edges. As was pointed out, he supports many things that belong in the socialist or communist platforms. That will not win voters, but coming out of the debate, he rocketed to 47% in several polls.
The GOP establishment crowd are out to screw us over. Their leaders are harm in arm with the communists who control the democrats. They have leared from the fall of the Soviet Union and now offer the people faux choice, do you want to go over the cliff in high gear with Hillary, or in third gear with Jeb et al?
IN 2010, 2012, and 2014 we threw out the cloaked communist blue dogs. What did we get? establishment RINOs who are determined to not reverse the course, and terrible mistakes of the first two years of obomunism.
I left the communist party aka the democrats in 1980. I am about ready to dump commie lite as well.
