Jeb! panders

Jeb! wants to be president like Daddy and his big brother.

He thinks he has to pander to get there.

His latest pandering actually shows why Republican pandering to Democrats is destroying the country.

Via Breitbart, what Jeb! told the Urban League"
“When President Obama says that ‘for too long we’ve been blind to the way past injustices continue to shape the present,’ he is speaking the truth. But we should be just as candid about our failures in addressing injustices of the more recent origin. In our cities we’ve got so many people that have never known anything but poverty is. So many young adults with no vision of a life beyond the life they know. It’s a tragedy for them in such a loss to our country because everyone has a God-given purpose to live out and God-given talents this world needs. Every one of them was also promised one-day break in life in the form of a public school to help them learn who they are and what they can do. For millions it is a false promise as technology advances, the first rung of the latter is higher and higher and higher. If we don’t create an education system that allows young people to reach it, we are setting them up for a lifetime of failure. You and I have to call the situation what it is. The worst inequality in America today and the source of so many other inequalities. I want to work with the Urban League movement to end this injustice once and for all.”
Wrong.

The ghettos of America are the result of trillions of dollars poured into government programs that actually

America spends MORE on ghetto schools than it does

More!

That is correct. Democrats with the aid of pandering Republicans set up Title I funding to give more money to the poor. The result is reading scores are worse for the poor. Ditto free school lunches and breakfasts. We were fed the socialist lie that the reason kids are not learning is they are too hungry. Remember? It's hard to learn on an empty stomach. The result is childhood obesity is at an all-time high among the poor -- and again test scores are at a low.

Jeb! offers warmed over socialism.

It is time to try something different: Capitalism.

On top of that, there's this from Instapundit: "FROM HIS OWN MOUTH, WHY HE SHOULD NEVER BE PRESIDENT: Jeb Bush: I Would Govern Like Lyndon Johnson as President. Really, Jeb? Really? That’s your selling point? Really?

  2. If he wants to be a Dimocrat, why doesn't he just come out and say it and make it official? The Clintons and Bushes have become such fond friends that they could be running mates on a Dimocrat ticket. Maybe then the Republicans would actually runa a Republican instead of RINOs like McRINO and Mittens.

Once again, we see the Republican Party taking advice from the New York Slimes (Motto:All the news that's fit to distort) and the Dimocrat National Committee. Note to Republicans: These people do not want you to win elections. How did running Dimocrats in 2008 and 2012 work out for you?

Excellent suggestion, Denny. The Dem Party would be Jeb's natural home. He should follow in the footsteps of Charlie Crist, another former governor of Florida, and make party crossovers a tradition down there.
