Tips for Talking to Your Family about the Affordable Care Act this Fourth of July

The Democratic Party's Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act continues to be the most hated policy since the Intolerable Acts when we were colonies. But it is summer. We have better things to think about.

The White House has released Official Talking Points to its lackeys, entitled, "Tips for Talking to Your Family about the Affordable Care Act this Fourth of July."

I am issuing my counter talking points for the family barbecue:

"That's nice. burgers or dogs?"

"That's nice, beer?"

"That's nice, pass the potato salad."

"That's nice, now would you mind passing the salt and pepper?"

"That's nice, beer?"

"Well, it is better than those new Browns uniforms."

"That's nice, now stand back, I'm gonna cannonball."

"That's nice, now I gotta go see a man about a dog."

"That's nice, now watch the fireworks."

"That's nice, beer?"

"That's nice, I think your mom's ready to go now."

  1. Hey, the way they are talking, you may be talking with family about affordable health care while awaiting treatment after a ISIS terrorist attack.

  2. Use Tea Party and conservative talking points. Watch them leave. Eat more burgers, dogs, and beer (if it's chewy).

  3. Jut mention the Bill of Rights and duck. Having a head explode in your face kinda ruins the holiday spirit, even if that spirit is full of stuff going boom.
