Oh, come now; this NEVER applies to Dems!
Progressives are dangerously getting closer to the point where Che wannabees can actually be Che.
This post is a shining example why this country is on the path that it is on. For every Occupy Democrat/Liberal, etc. meme/talking point which bashes the right; I can find an equally abrasive counter meme/talking point doing the same to the left. Hence this blog as one of countless examples of both sides relentlessly bashing each other without a hint of compromise. "There's battle lines being drawn. Nobody's right if everybody's wrong." Catchy tune, eh? Sadly, I see no one in the immediate future who can pry open - even slightly - the close-minded views of blowhard politicians on BOTH sides of the aisle. Sad, until that unforeseeable day approaches, I'll continue to be equally saddened and amused at Rs and Ds as they race neck-and-neck this country to the bottom.
Enough with the hand wringing. You don't compromise with people who are trying to destroy your way of life and remove all of your liberties. That's been the R's problem all along and the D's have taken advantage of it.
Thank you for proving my point exactly with your ridiculous post. "You don't compromise with people who are trying to destroy your way of life and remove all your liberties." Now - who is hand wringing with such an outlandish [and inaccurate] statement? Care to provide facts to back your assertion? What a joke of a statement. How can D's "take advantage of it?" What is "it" anyways? The Rs control the US Congress, Senate and Supreme Court. How are the D's taking advantage? Surber's home state has gone from solid blue to solid red in just the last few years, echoing a trend nationwide as this country - by states - is overwhelmingly red. How are the D's taking advantage of that?Your laughable statement speaks to my very point which is this: Both sides of the aisles think they are threatened by their opposite. And because both sides won't "compromise with people who are trying to destroy" their way of life, this nation continues to slide on the world stage because we have no one willing to compromise which means this country has no direction and I don't see it reversing in 2016 whether the next elected president's name is Bush, Clinton, Cruz, Christie, Sanders or someone else.
"Dissent is the highest form of patriotism" - Thunder Rodent Thighs when Chimpy McHalliburton Bushitler (as the dissenting rat bastard commies called him) was president. Partisan enough for you Anon? Obungler does not get half the grief that Bush got. BTW, the R's do not control the Supreme Court as the last few rulings have demonstrated. Just because a Republican appointed someone does not mean he will vote as a Republican. Two examples: Souter and Roberts. The D's, despite FNC, control the media. They also control the schools which have become socialist indoctrination centers. Republicans are expected to reach across the aisle, never Dimocrats.
More laughable responses Denny. First there is this: "Obungler does not get half the grief that Bush got." I will not say Obama has received more grief than Bush but I am certain of this: Obama has received every bit as much. Then this gem: "R's do not control the Supreme Court as the last few rulings have demonstrated." You mean the ruling which said the EPA has overstepped its boundaries in enforcing its Clean Air act regs? You do know that Souter is retired? Another: "The D's control the media" All I ever read on this blog is that Fox News has more viewers and Rush has more listeners than anyone else. So if the majority of the country is listening to R-slanted news, how do D's control it?Can't speak to schools though, my kids went to Catholic schools. It's my understanding though, public school curriculum comes from the state level, not the federal level.Let me conclude with this: No fan of Obama; No fan of Clinton. My bottom line remains: Until Rs and Ds collectively get off their high horses, mindless rhetoric like your's will continue to be espoused in equal doses by Conservatives and Liberals alike ... all the while this country sinks further into obliviousness.
