No leadership at NBC

Demoting Brian Williams to MSNBC is the joke of the week. It shows that the people who run NBC are not running NBC.

Howard Kurtz of Fox News:
In the end, NBC simply could not bring Brian Williams back to the anchor chair.
It wasn’t just that he had irreparably tarnished his own credibility, and that of his network, by fabricating a tale of Iraq War bravery. It was that the rank and file of his own news division was vehemently opposed to Williams returning to “NBC Nightly News.”
That put the newly arrived NBC News chief Andy Lack in the awkward position of trying to keep Williams at the company without alienating those who produce the network’s journalism. There are many old wounds among those who believe Williams became increasingly aloof and even blame him for the relocation of many news staffers to the far end of 30 Rock.
You stop to think about that.

Let that sink in.

The people who are paid millions a year to run NBC are not. The employees are. They are make major personnel decisions, not the bosses. That raises the question: Why have all those stuffed shirts?

The fish rots from the head.

Journalism? There's journalism at NBC? The network that gave Al Tawana Brawley Crown Heights Riots Freddie's Fashion Mart Arson "Greek homos" Sharpton his own television program? Journalism? Like the exploding truck and the edited 911 tape to make George Zimmerman sound like a racist? Journalism? Part of the propaganda arm of the Dimocrat Party is a better description. Anyway, Williams is gonna be on MSNBC and no one watches that network. How the mighty have fallen. One of his MSNBC co-workers is the racist anti-Semite Sharpton.
