National Enquirer goes there (L-word) on Hillary

Well, that didn't take long. Hillary announced formally that she is running for president on Sunday, and by Thursday the National Enquirer is spreading the rumor that Mrs. Clinton is the lesbian lover of her longtime aide, Huma Abedin, also known as Mrs. Anthony Weiner.

That's not journalism, that's disgusting.

From the National Enquirer:
Hillary Clinton isn’t just caught in a political scandal over her missing emails from her stint as secretary of state – she’s also terrified of personal revelations about a secret lesbian lifestyle!
Now a world-exclusive investigation by The National ENQUIRER reveals that some of the presidential candidate’s famously “deleted” emails are packed full of lesbian references and her lovers’ names.
“I don’t think she’s so concerned about emails referring to her as secretly gay,” said a Clinton insider. “That’s been out for years – her real fear is that the names of some of her lovers would be made public!”
The ENQUIRER learned the list of Hillary’s lesbian lovers includes a beauty in her early 30s who has often traveled with Hillary; a popular TV and movie star; the daughter of a top government official; and a stunning model who got a career boost after allegedly sleeping with Hillary. Hillary made the huge mistake of mixing public and private messages while using her personalized email server – before risking a massive scandal by refusing to make the documents public.
“That’s clearly why she went to the extraordinary step of deleting everything,” the high-ranking source told The ENQUIRER.
Hillary is particularly concerned about intimate emails to longtime aide Huma Abedin – who married U.S. Representative Anthony Weiner in a ceremony that many ridiculed as a political arrangement. Anthony later resigned over extramarital sexting scandals, after porn star Sydney Leathers said that she believed he was in an open marriage.
Oh my gosh.

How can she be a lesbian? How could anyone think that.True, she went to an all-girl college but that was like 40 or 50 years ago. Heck, Ted Cruz and Marco Rubio were not even born then.

And Hillary has been married to Bill Clinton for 40 years now. It's not like they have an open marriage or anything, where he is free to have affairs with whoever he wants. True, they are not often in the same city, but they call each other a lot. Maybe she never sent him an email, but that doesn't mean a thing.

This lesbian rumor is disgusting. She's as straight as her hero and role model, Eleanor Roosevelt.

  1. Sorry, but I'll side with the National Enquirer on this...they actually have shown more skill in the last 10 years in investigation reporting than any national broadcaster or print medium in the country. Not sure about Eleanor's choices for bed partner but it wouldn't surprise me to hear that she, too, swung without her husband's consent or presence...

  2. I'm not sure what to think. In a rational universe there would be no way the National Enquirer could be taken seriously.

But we don't live in a rational universe. We live in a universe where a racist kook (Al Sharpton) get his own TV show on a supposedly serious news network. We live in a world where professional journalists deliberately promote false narratives and fake stories ("Hands up! Don't shoot!") for political gain. We live in a universe where a President of the United States, in response to a world-wide epidemic of killings of Christians, punches down those same Christians with an historically inaccurate harangue about the Crusades. We live in a universe where an Islamic maniac and his country are about to obtain atomic weapons. We live in a universe where "safe spaces" on colleges serve the same purposes as "Whites Only" signs did for a previous generation of southerners.

Frankly, nothing about the bearded Spock universe we live in surprises me anymore.

    1. Sharpton has a show on "a supposedly serious news network." Huh, I thought he just had the show on MSNBC.

  3. I personally don't believe a word the Enquirer writes. But....there's always a but...I'll take Sen. Harry Reid's approach to Mitt Romney's taxes and say: Let H--> prove the Enquirer wrong!

  4. The Enquirer got the John Edwards story right. Sleazy the story may be, but some politicians are sleazy, and it seems to me that most are Democrats. I have to say, my mom used to describe some people as "low quality folks", and the Clintons seem to resemble that remark.
I do appreciate your jumping on this to advise caution and await documentation.

    1. indeed, the Enquirer goes where others fear to tread. i can't image them printing something like this without proof.

    2. I can. But in the remote possibility this unsubstantiated, scurrilous, underhanded claim is true, if H--> actually believes half the things Democrats claim to believe, especially when it comes to gay rights, shouldn't she come out of the closet and campaign on the platform that the country is ready to elect not only the first woman president, but the first GAY woman president? Hillary, come out, come out, whatever you are!

  5. With your title I was thinking "liar." But, it would not surprise me if the National Enquirer got this right. They break stories the democrat propagandists (lsm) avoid.

And don't use 40 years of marriage as rationalization for hillary not being an "l." Bill never treated his marriage as anything more than a convenience for political expediency and hillary just went along for the ride.

As Recovering Lutheran points out the lsm has no creditability.

  6. that's why she ordered the chicken burrito bowl instead of the chicken taco. Change of pace

  7. Much of this essay seems to be lost on folks.

    Well-played, Don.

    Well. Played. ;-)

  8. A) I detect some tongue firmly planted on cheek.
    B) After the Carol Burnett lawsuit n the early eighties, the National Enquirer has been rather careful.

I'm not so sure of pooh-pooh this. Then again, I wouldn't take it as gospel truth.
