Republicans are not allowed to diss the New York Times

ABC News is now the defender of the First Amendment and free speech as it is suddenly protecting the New York Times from attacks by Republican presidential contenders.

The network has for six years been silent as the President of the United States has conducted a Nixonian War on Fox News.

Nevertheless, ABC News ran "A GOP Primary Pastime: Knocking The New York Times," which said, ho-ho-ho, those silly Republicans. The New York Times ran a story knocking Hillary.

It quoted Brian Stetler of CNN defending the liberal newspaper.

It failed to disclose that Stetler is an ex-Times staffer.

Republicans should realize that ABC News is the New York Times on TV.

Of course they didn't. That would have been committing honest journalism. Can't have that!

  4. The article at the link was not from the ABC national news desk but from the affiliate station in Tampa Bay, Florida, wasn't it? Hardly worth the wider prominence you give it. I'm doing a mental delete of the article as I type this. It's down the memory hole.....

  5. Is the NYT still published? I read it as a child 40 years ago when it had some good sections on Sunday, but thought it had become a less funny version of The Onion 20 years ago.
If it still has influence, our elite are dumber than Furious 7, awesome as it is.
And may Paul Walker RIP, living eternity a quarter mile at a time.
