Religion of peace?

George Walker Bush, September 20, 2001: "The face of terror is not the true faith of Islam. That's not what Islam is all about.  Islam is peace.  These terrorists don't represent peace.  They represent evil and war. When we think of Islam we think of a faith that brings comfort to a billion people around the world.  Billions of people find comfort and solace and peace.  And that's made brothers and sisters out of every race -- out of every race."

Reality, March 20, 2015:

Afghanistan: "Horrific moment mob beats Afghan woman, 27, to death before burning her body and dumping it in a muddy river because she set fire to Koran."

Iraq: "Another blow to Christianity and civilization: ISIS destroy 4th Century Mar Benham monastery in Iraq."

Nigeria: "Boko Haram fighters slaughter dozens of their 'wives' who had been kidnapped and forced to marry them because they feared they would be freed and marry 'infidels'."

Iraq again: "ISIS are guilty of war crimes and are carrying out a genocide of the Yazidi people in Iraq, say the UN."

This is one day's effort by Islamic terrorists.

I realize that this does not represent the majority of the Muslim religion. I get that we should not take our frustrations out on third parties who have nothing to do with what is happening inside the Iron Crescent of despair.

But I will be damned if I will be cowed into silence by know-nothing liberals who put petty politics above the nation's survival.

Too many Americans believe the threat was one nutball named Osama and his followers in a mountain cave. They elected as president a vapid Narcissist who is anti-Semitic and believes 9/11 was "chickens coming home to roost." If he did not, he would not have written a tribute to black nationalist preacher Jeremiah Wright five years after that America-Deserved-It sermon. The Audacity of Dope.

George Bush left President Obama a world map that showed allies were in control of Afghanistan and Iraq -- neighbors of Iran, the center of Islamic terrorism.

After 6 years of slackery, hackery and quackery from President Obama, we find North Africa on fire from Syria to Tunis. Obama directly or indirectly overthrew five governments and helped revive the Muslim Brotherhood, which was outlawed by Nassar in Egypt 60 years ago.

Islamic terrorism is on the rise. The world looks to Washington for leadership.

Instead it gets an NCAA bracket card.

  1. When it comes time for historians to judge Obama's performance as president, he won't make the presidential tournament finals, he won't make the Final Four nor the Sweet Sixteen. Over the long haul, XLIV will be lucky to make the opening 64.

  2. We'll likely have to wait for the current crop to die, and likely the 20-40 years after that, for what you want, Iapetus
